Hot forging tooling engineered for performance above 1000°C.

A molybdenum alloy built for the conditions that destroy tool steel.

MC-X is an in-development ultra-fine grain molybdenum alloy strengthened with intermetallic particles that remain stable above 1,100°C. Where carbides coarsen and break down past 550°C, MC-X’s precipitate strengthened microstructure will  not change.

The result is a material that performs and stays dimensionally accurate at temperatures conventional tool steels cannot survive.
